What is special in Duong Lam ancient village?

Each hamlet owns a communal house where local people come and worship the god – the founder of their village. Mong Phu Village is considered the center of Duong Lam ancient village with the most beautiful and specifically houses. Come to this hamlet, the owners of these houses are always willing to introduce tourists their beloved houses. The communal house of Mong Phu is also the most famous one where dedicated the god Tan Vien Son. So far, this is the place where villagers gather to take part in cultural activities. The communal houses in Duong Lam ancient village are carefully built with sophisticated decoration details like a flower of unique sculptural architecture. 

Duong Lam has a total of 21 tangible relics, including old temples and pagodas, tombs and 10 of them have been classified as national or local relics. In Duong Lam ancient village, there are also many cultural festivals and ceremonies taking place annually, together with a lot of special customs and literature achievements through a different period of time. 

The village is not only a historical place but also an ecological land for those who would like to get into nature. Come to Duong Lam, tourists can admire numerous picturesque landscapes linked with local legends including Guom Hill, Ho Gam Hill as well as interesting tales on the two kings Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung. 

Apart from ancient structures and beautiful sceneries, the villages also have some culinary specialties such as soybean sauce and Che Lam.

Duong Lam soybean sauce is quite similar to Ban soybean sauce in Hung Yen, meanwhile, Che Lam is a kind of sweet cake made from rice, sesame, ginger, and honey sugar.
