Khau Pha Pass

Khau Pha Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1,500 meters (4,900 ft) above the sea level. It is located in Mu Cang Chai District, Yen Bai Province, Vietnam. It’s one of the longest mountain passes in Vietnam.

From Yen Bai City, about 5 hours back along Highway 32, through Tu Le commune, Khau Phan pass – Mu Cang Chai district appears between a plateau surrounded by mountain ranges. The winding passage between the old jungle still having the bold features and the terraced fields of the Hmong, Thai.

Mo Waterfall

Falling down from the height of 3,000m, the sparkling white Mo waterfall is one of the must-visit attractions in Mu Cang Chai. Lies between 2 peaks of Na Hang A and Na Hang Bin Mo De commune, the beautiful cascade appears lively in the evergreen forests of the North among the colorful flowers such as red flowers of the wild banana or pink and white of the plum and apricot blossoms.

If you are not a walking enthusiast, don’t worry because there is a local service offering motorbikes to carry you to the top of the terrace and back at a reasonable price.
