Hoa Lu Ancient Capital covers an area of 300 ha (3km2), including both the Inner and Outer Citadels. It included defensive earthen walls, palaces, temples, and shrines, and was surrounded and protected by mountains of limestone. Today, the ancient citadel no longer exists, and few vestiges of the 10th century still remain.

Trang An ecotourism site is considered the “Halong Bay on the land". From the distance, visitors have the opportunity to perceive the white flowers of the reeds in the foothills. While enjoying fresh air and mountain scenery, visitors are made to be lost in a magical world. Mua caves (dancing caves) is near Tam Coc (about 3.5km from Tam Coc) about more than 500 steps to climbing up the mountain, Mua caves are one of the most beautiful places to view in Ninh Binh. The traveler can see the city far from the standing in front of, Tam Coc in the back and the limestone mountain along to the south of Vietnam.

Tour itinerary

7.30 – 8.00 am: Our driver and tour guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby in Hanoi and transfer to Ninh Binh.

10.30 – 10.40 am: Arrive at Hoa Lu ancient capital. Visit Dinh King's temple and Le King's temple from the 10th century, finding out the heroic histories of these two kings in the Chinese wars.

12.00 pm: Enjoy lunch with plenty of traditional foods such as spring rolls, goat meat…etc.

13.00 pm: Get on the car to go to Trang An wharf to visit Trang An complex and the scene of the King Kong film.

14.00 pm: Cycling around Trang An area. With 1 hour of cycling, you will be amazed by the beauty of the countryside in the North of Vietnam. 

15.40 – 15.45 pm: Keep going to visit Mua cave. The place attracts visitors with its many interesting stories. Climb 500 stone steps, here you can see all the way to Tam Coc, enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the countryside and Ngo Dong river.

17.00 pm: Get on the car and return to Hanoi.

19.00 – 19.30 pm: Arrive at Hanoi, drop off at your hotel. End of tour!
