Explore Duong Lam Ancient Village Full Day Tour

Both men led resistance was against northern invasion and after winning national independence were crowned kings. After their deaths, the local people built temples in their honor. The ancient village has a history of about 1,200 years with many houses dating back up to 400 years. Today, Duong Lam village still retains most of the basic characteristics of a village of Vietnam with the port village, trees, courtyard, temples, well, water fields… the symbol of Vietnam ancient village is a fish pond, milking well and banyan tree still remains here. That thing shows at the old entrance gate in Mong Phu village.

Duong Lam has 956 traditional houses, Dong-Sang has 441 houses, Mong Phu has 350 houses and Cam Thinh Has 165 houses. Many houses have been built a long time ago (in 1649, 1703, 1850…). Characteristics of the old traditional houses are all built from blocks of laterite. They are beautiful, lively and is interesting features of  Duong Lam ancient village.
Then go to the village entrance, you will be surprised by the vastness of banyan trees more than 300 years old. Duong Lam converges all cultural elements of a representative Vietnam ancient village. Duong Lam is becoming an attractive destination for tourist who wants to find a truly authentic Vietnam.

Itinerary

08.00 am: Our Tour Guide and car pick you up at the hotel then transfer to Duong Lam ancient village. 
09.00 am: Stopover on the way to visit Son Dong traditional sculpture village. The Son Dong wooden statues are present in many pagodas and communal houses in the Northern provinces. Visit some households in the village; see mastered the technique of making wooden statues and see the local market.
09.30 am: Continue to Duong Lam ancient village.  
10.15 am: Arrive at Duong Lam, a purely agricultural area of North Vietnam, visit village gate, Mong Phu communal house, and some ancient houses and enjoy local products: rice wine, rice cake.  
11.30 am: Have Lunch at the Ancient House.  
12.30 pm: Take bicycle around the village to visit some cultural and historical vestiges in Duong Lam such as Princess Mia palace and temple, Mia pagoda is from 15th-century, which preserves some 287 statues of all sizes, finally, visit the Ngô Quyền and Phùng Hưng temples, both dedicated to great national heroes.
14.00 pm: Visit Son Tay Citadel
15.30 pm: Stopover on the way to visit Tay Phuong pagoda - the best example of an old typical pagoda in the North of Vietnam, special with Arhan statues.
16.30 pm: Visit Van Phuc silk village. Experience the process of making silk. Touch Van Phuc silk which is famous for making traditional textiles throughout Vietnam and overseas. See how to make silk from silk thread, walk and shopping on the silk street.
17.30 pm: Drop guests at the hotel. End the services.
